We had to euthanize our 14-year old cat, Miss Emma Peel, yesterday. As the doctor put it, after nearly a decade of being symptom-free, her FIV was catching up with her; she wasn't eating, or taking care of herself, and her body systems were starting to fail.
Emma was a pretty good cat, and it was hard to say good-bye. We're not getting her ashes back, but I did keep her whiskers.
