I was bitten by a cat on Thursday, right in the web of my left hand between the thumb and forefinger. I was sent to Urgent Care, where the doctor told me, "We usually prescribe penicillin for cat bites, but since you're allergic, I'm thinking about sending you to the ER to get IV fluids."
He ended up sending me home on doxy, z-pack, and lortabs.
It's still pretty swollen, but at least today I can touch my index finger to my thumb. I have recheck appointment at 2, so we'll see what he says then.
